Cost = per-user price × users (per-seat plans), one price for up to N users (flat plans), or a base price plus a fee per extra user (Writesonic). Yearly billing uses the per-month price of the annual plan; yearly cost = 12 × that.
Every price and limit has a verbatim evidence snippet from the official page, the page view it was read in (default, monthly toggle, yearly toggle, or all text including closed FAQ answers) and the date.
USD only, before tax. The server is in Denmark: Grammarly's plans page and QuillBot's Premium page show EUR. Grammarly's USD prices come from its own help article, which states USD; QuillBot Premium stays pending because no official page we could fetch states a USD price.
Usage limits are shown in each vendor's own unit and never converted. The calculator checks a vendor only against the units it defines.
A vendor whose page lists only single-user plans (Rytr, Wordtune, Sudowrite) is priced for 1 user only; free plans are priced as one free account per person.
Pending items are excluded from every ranking. A daily refresh re-checks all evidence and logs mismatches for a human; data is never changed automatically.
Rankings are by yearly cost, then vendor name. Affiliate status is never read by the calculator (tested).
