Cost = per-user price × users (or the plan's flat price / base price plus extra users), at the monthly price or the per-month price of annual billing (yearly cost = 12 × that). Each vendor counts usage in its own unit and units are never converted. A plan marked free is priced as one free account per person. Taxes, add-ons and trials are not included. Ties are broken by vendor name. Affiliate status is never used.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest AI writing tool?

With a free plan allowed, Rytr, Grammarly, QuillBot, Wordtune cost $0. Among paid plans for 1 user on yearly billing: Wordtune Advanced at $6.99/month ($83.88/year), then Rytr Lite at $7.50/month ($90/year), then Sudowrite Hobby & Student at $10/month ($120/year).

Which AI writing tools can a team of 5 use?

A paid plan for 5 users can be priced at: Copy.ai, Grammarly. No paid plan can be priced for 5 users at Jasper, QuillBot, Rytr, Sudowrite, Wordtune, Writesonic (the 5-user page gives the reason for each).

Why don't the usage limits use the same unit?

Every vendor counts differently: Writesonic counts AI articles, Grammarly AI prompts, Rytr characters, Wordtune rewrites per day, Sudowrite credits and Copy.ai workflow credits. We never convert between them, so the calculator checks each vendor only against its own unit.

    Are the prices in USD?

Yes, before tax. Where a vendor's page showed EUR to our server in Denmark we used the vendor's own USD help text (Grammarly) or marked the plan pending (QuillBot Premium).
